Imaging USA: The Photography Event of the Year Comes to Austin, TX

Professional Photographers of America is holding their annual convention, Imaging USA, at the Austin Convention Center January 22-24, 2006. This year Imaging USA welcomes two other exciting events to its lineup: SEPCON (the Sports and Event Photographers Conference, hosted by IAPEPe) and the CPI Commercial Photography Conference.

Imaging USA is expected to draw an audience of more than 5,000 professional photographers from the United States and abroad. There will be a print exhibition with over 2,500 images on display, 67 educational sessions taught by industry-leading professionals, and one unforgettable super program featuring highly acclaimed fine portrait photographer Philip Stewart Charis.

More than 400 companies will be displaying their newest products and services at the Imaging Expo. Anyone interested in photography should not miss this great opportunity to see new industry developments and gadgets.

Several Austin-based businesses are also exhibiting at Imaging USA. Photodex Corporation, headquarted in Austin, is one of this year’s platinum event sponsors and is offering local Austin photographers and photo enthusiasts free passes to the Imaging USA expo.
