American radio hosts from across the country were able to gain insight about numerous international issues that are largely ignored by the domestic media, and provide their audiences with an inside look at the broad range of work of the United Nations.

The hosts will interview officials from UN headquarters and from around the world to offer listeners first-hand accounts about the valuable work of the United Nations.

"Last year's event was the first of its kind and proved to be a great success," said Michael Harrison, publisher of Talkers magazine. The talk radio hosts will be on the air live from the United Nations from 6:00 am until 8:00 pm, offering millions of Americans the opportunity to learn more about the day-to-day operations of the international organization. They will discuss topics ranging from combating measles, to peacekeeping missions in Africa.

After the day of broadcasts, Talkers magazine plans to use key excerpts from its conversations and interviews to produce a radio documentary which will air on its official podcasting website, www.podjockey.com.
