Today Sarah has captured her memories and thoughts of that difficult day, August 31, 1997 in an original essay, "Ten Years On: Remembering Diana" which she shares with members of the Simple Abundance Online Community Simple Abundance Online and in an international telephone conference call on August 31st. Here is an excerpt of this poignant and telling piece:

"The sense I associate with Diana is touch. "Yes, I do touch. I believe everyone needs that," she once said, explaining why she refused to keep the traditional royal distance from the crowds that adored her, especially the sick, poor, disenfranchised and the suffering. But how could she have understood the impact that her cuddling a child dying of AIDS or her shaking a leper's hand would have on millions of people around the world,"inquires Sarah in her original essay on Diana.

Simple Abundance Online is a membership community which explores the six principles of the ground-breaking book Simple Abundance in depth: Gratitude, Simplicity, Order, Harmony, Beauty and Joy. Each month Sarah creates an online magazine of thought-provoking articles, recipes, Joyful Simplicities and beautiful photography. The subscription includes monthly live telephone calls with Sarah as well as quarterly classes on the numerous books Sarah has written. The result is a warm and intimate connection of women from around the world with each other.
