"At age eighteen, I had the honor and privilege of painting the portrait of the internationally famous Grand Dame of romance novels, Barbara Cartland. Ms. Cartland loved the portrait and commissioned me to paint her step-granddaughter's portrait as a present from her. At the appointed time, to my amazement, the very beautiful, and very shy Lady Diana Spencer entered the living room. Lady Diana liked my sketches of her and as Dame Barbara gave her a rose from a magnificent flower arrangement in the living room, she said "oh, yes my dear, Diana the English Rose." The title for the portrait was born,” stated famous artist Alexander Presniakov. This beloved official portrait of Lady Diana Spencer, the Princess of Wales, is currently held in the private Royal Collection at Buckingham Palace.

Still in his late teens, Alexander received a commission to paint the official wedding portraits of H.R.H. Prince Charles and H.R.H. Princess Diana. At age 19, he received the commission to paint the life size portrait of then President Ronald Reagan, which still hangs in the White House. In 1983, Mr. Presniakov also won a major award from then President Ronald Reagan in recognition of artistic ideal, “Ultrafictorilization”, utilized in the ad campaign of Mrs. Nancy Reagan’s “Just Say No” classroom theme that was promoted in all U.S. government agencies. In addition to his artistic talents, he is also a member of the International Poetry Society Hall of Fame.
