Design firm’s first project: Starsky & Hutch. Upon announcing that it will be the exclusive North American distributor of Starsky & Hutch for Nintendo's GameCube and Game Boy Advance, BAM! hired CDI to do the localization design for the game’s packaging, CD, and manual.
First a ‘70s TV classic, then a blockbuster movie, now an action packed video game – it seems people can’t get enough of the tight leather, permed hair, red-and-white Gran Torino cool of Starsky & Hutch.
“When we were first hired by BAM! Entertainment,” explains Eddie Roberts, President of Las Vegas-based print and interactive design firm Creative Dynamics, Inc (CDI), “We were very excited. But once we learned they wanted us for the Starsky & Hutch project, we all said: ‘Right on!’”
Founded in 1999 and based in San Jose, California, BAM! Entertainment, Inc. is a developer, publisher and marketer of interactive entertainment software in North America and Europe. The company develops, obtains, or licenses properties from a wide variety of sources, including global entertainment and media companies, and publishes software for video game systems, wireless devices, and personal computers. Upon announcing that it will be the exclusive North American distributor of Starsky & Hutch for Nintendo's GameCube and Game Boy Advance, BAM! hired CDI to do the localization design for the game’s packaging, CD, and manual.
Starsky & Hutch should hit the shelves by April 2004.
“We have extensive experience in the interactive gaming industry with our work for Sony Computer Entertainment and Electronic Arts,” continues Roberts, “We are proud to add BAM! to our list of clients and look forward to a successful relationship.”
