Reality Television Applicant Takes on the Internet

It takes more than just accolades and praise to get the eye of Internet Billionaire and Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban. In the past, the NBA referee’s seemed to be the only ones getting the attention of Mr. Cuban. But for the past 2 months with the announcement of his new ABC reality television show The Benefactor, it seems like everyone is trying to jump to the head of the class and get on the Billionaire's good side.

One applicant has at least outshined the rest in the initial phase of the casting. Chicago resident, Chris McKeever started a small website (www.chrismckeever.com) dedicated to his pursuit to get Mark's attention and ultimately win the million dollar prize. He purchased web advertisements through Google, which point blank acknowledge him as out of the ordinary and 'not predictable'. His idea paid off.

Mark officially acknowledged Chris' achievements on his own personal weblog at www.blogmaverick.com in an article titled 'Good Job Chris'.

"Chris McKeever, I tip my hat to you. Most people come up with creative ways to ask, you came up with creative action that leveraged pretty much everything I have an interest in."

Unfortunately, Mark's attention didn't stay focused for too long when he learned that Chris had also recently applied for the second season of The Apprentice. He made a public announcement to being 'Duped' at www.blogmaverick.com.

"Turns out you are just a reality show groupie and you just wanted to make me your first conquest."

This did not stop the online reality applicant. He took this as a personal challenge from Mark, and met him in Dallas for the Open Casting Call on April 3 at Eddie Dean's Ranch. He was asked to move to the next round for the day.

His persistence and determination not only won the intrigue of Mark Cuban, but it grew into a loyal following on the Internet. Reality TV Magazine has recently run an article about Chris where they explained what has developed as 'A Cult Like Following'. Message boards clamber with predictions, support as well as criticism for his persistence and style.

It seems as if Chris may have what it takes to keep this Billionaire entertained long enough to not get dismissed from the show and to walk away with his pocket change.
