Painting by Gypsy Rose Lee to be Sold at Auction

An erotic abstract watercolor painted by burlesque queen Gypsy Rose Lee will be sold at auction on Ebay.

The painting, of breasts in a bowl, was given to Julio, her husband at the time, as a present (Gypsy married Julio de Diego in 1948). The painting was left to her friend and chauffer Boyd Bennett who in turn sold the painting in the mid 1970’s.
