The Curse BY Omer Pasha
Omer Pasha has released his debut music single and video The Curse, online at www.omerpasha.com. Holding dual nationality Pakistani/Canadian Pasha is one of the very first singers of Pakistan to produce an English single. The single has two video versions The Curse (The Forebodings and The Curse Unveiled follow a theme and story Unveiled of thrill, horror, love based on a strange haunting in Surrey, Vancouver. After completing his education, Pasha will be working on his sequel to The Curse and will be working on his debut album featuring English pop/rock/techno based tracks.

The Curse Unveiled Video is derived by Pasha from non-fictional events that he actually did experience in Surrey which is an actual city in Vancouver,BC,Canada.Living there was very lonley and Pasha had seem to experience phenomena's like the presence of extraterrestrial forces constantly around him when he he walked alone on the streets of Surrey, especially his school ground,at night at day, Pasha also has a bit hinted that satanic possession tried to over power or scare him in the middle of the night yet always defeating it through the thought of God, in Surrey.Thats the reason he uses a witch in his video of The Curse Forebodings and The Curse Unveiled to represent this strange presence of something constantly around him, looking at him,deliberately irritating him, in his time in Surrey.
He gives The Curse a theme of being haunted in love.His actual violent and abnormal love for someone in that city is like a Curse which had never been reciprocated and caused him to suffer greatly as he had to return back to Pakistan. The reason why he gives the prologue of everything you do comes back in time to you is because he wants to state that love is like energy , when you love some one you throw the energy towards him or her, if this energy is reciprocated, thats well and good, but if this same energy is just thrown away or shedded, if the person does not love you in return,the energy is made ,forced to leave it will go in some limbo area of matter and time and thus will return in an opposite direction + or - to that same person and will make him or her feel the pain of how it feels when love is not reciprocated,and how you should not just carelessly ditch some one's love, if its true, you are bound to suffer.
The Curse the video is based on it, Pasha thinks he suffered the same thing ,he recalls that not knowingly he may have ditched someone's love in time and thats why was made to fall terribly in love with someone he did not even know and yet had to suffer the agony .
Thus Pasha used his talent to express it in the form of The Curse, The witch being a symbol of that haunting and that energy of wasted true love, yet does not die in the end because the reality of suffering and mystery is still there.
Pasha plans the produce The Fight the sequel to The Curse which is to finally defeat this mysery and complication of true love, suffering and haunting.
Pasha deliberately kept his video a bit diluted , as he is living and produced it in Pakistan,where the society is higly conservative , but yet was opposed by a great number of people who thought this video was actually too strange and explicit.Although nobody new what is behind the video and its particular lyrics, theme , everyone assumed it just another normal song and video and Pasha himself did not want to really reveal what made and inspired him to do this. Thus Pasha has vowed to produce the sequel The Fight with full force, articulate ideas with complete expression, animation,special horror effects with themes of Eyptian Magic and finally a revealtion what the curse really is. |
