Internet First: Cabobble.com Announces the Winner of its First Annual Virtual Book Contest

R.J. Apel and his illustrated childrens book, Jem's Zoo Day, has won the top prize in cabobble.com's first annual virtual book award for children. The book will be published on Cabobble.com in a flash format unique to Cabobble. See: www.cabobble.com/kidscontest.aspx )

It will be available online to the public in concert with Book Expo America, June 4-6, 2004 in Chicago. (http://www.publishersmarketplace.com/BEA/cabobble/)

Apel, a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University in Graphic design, wrote and illustrated the book as a gift for his daughter. The delightful and well crafted book will be on view for the press and 24,000 other attendees of Book Expo as well as being a free feature for a month on Cabobble.
