Tickco.com Unveils Major Upgrades on Leading Event Ticket Website

Tickco.com reveals the results of over four months of upgrades in performance and design to their online event ticket website at http://www.tickco.com. Persistently seeking out new technologies, Tickco.com has launched a new XML feed providing seamless integration of an event ticket database that gives users the ability to choose from over 1.1 million tickets to over 10,000 events on the secondary market worldwide.

The new Tickco.com site also features upgrades such as Advance Search, which allows users to search events - not only by title, but also date, region and artist. Another feature “Help Me Choose My Seats,” said to be the first of its kind in the ticket brokering industry, is an in-depth editorial guide to assist users in choosing a seating location at over 100 venues nationwide. Upgrades will continue with twice the number of venues this feature is available for - expected by September 2004.

“We’re basically just giving our customers what they’re asking for,” says Kris Farmer, Director of E-Commerce, “We receive a constant stream of feedback from visitors to our website and we value very much what they have to say.”

Farmer continues, “The Internet has transformed the way that people buy and sell tickets on the secondary market and new technologies that can improve a website’s ability to serve this market are continually being introduced. Our first priority is to be as responsive to our clients’ needs as possible, so it makes good sense to embrace the technologies, like XML, that enable our seasoned clients, along with a new user, to access accurate information as quickly as possible.”

Tickco.com is operated by The Ticket Company, which has been procuring hard-to-find tickets for popular events since 1989 serving individual and corporate ticket buyers worldwide. The Ticket Company is a privately owned agency that buys and resells tickets on the secondary market and is not affiliated with any venue, artist or professional sports franchise.
