Arizona Produced Comedic Short Film 'The Realtor' Premiers at Film Festival in New York City

‘The Realtor’. An Arizona produced short film has been accepted into the CU2 Video and Film Festival in New York City. The Realtor is an 8-minute dark comedy shot on digital video. It portrays a world filled with cutthroat tactics where a particular real estate agent is willing to do just about anything to close the sale. Running and hiding simply won't do, as nothing will prepare you for The Realtor. The movie stars actors Dean St. Louis, Jim Gulliford and Kira Hasher. It is directed by Edward Anthony Mendoza, produced by Ryan Spevack, and written by Dean St. Louis. The movie is available for download for Indy film fans worldwide on the Official Realtor website at http://www.zeroonerealty.com. The movie was produced by Ryan Spevack, a student at the University of Advancing Technology (UAT) in Tempe, Arizona (www.uat.edu) which specializes in video production degrees. Spevack's production company Zero One Entertainment (www.zeroone.com) helmed the film.

The CU 2 Video and Film Festival (www.cu2vff.org) has
committed itself to supporting new, and emerging young filmmakers from around the world a place to showcase their work. The festival is proud to provide a forum for the ideas, issues, concerns and stories from young producers. The national event recognizes the need to promote the talents of young people and celebrate in their achievements. The platform is set for showcasing alternative media that comes directly from the youth themselves. The festival will be held in the heart of Times Square at the new state of the art Loews Theatre located in the Virgin Mega Store, Broadway and 45th Street in New York City, May 14-16, 2004. The CU 2 Video and Film Festival is active in the development of young artists of independent vision and dedicated to the exhibition of their work.

The Realtor’s producer Ryan Spevack will be in attendance at CU 2 to represent the Zero One crew! The Realtor started in Pre-production in October and completed Post in early February of 2004. The film has already received good press and buzz from the Indy website http://www.microcinemascene.com website and is starting to generate some major interest. Mostly all of the reviews have been positive. "A funny, witty, comedy in under only 10 mins" have been some of the praise.

Currently Ryan Spevack is working on two more short films. The first, a horror short called ‘The Perfect Location’, he is also in development of his first feature film, and has other numerous projects in various stages of development.
