Art Exhibit: Revelations ~ Sona Gallatin at Harvest Gallery
Harvest Gallery is proud to present Revelations, a solo exhibit featuring Sona Gallatin from Wednesday, May 26, 2004 through Sunday, May 30th in Glendale, California.
After nearly a decade away from painting, Gallatin returned to her art with renewed commitment in 2002. Her art is inspired by human energy and everyday expressions of life. “Expressions of energy…human energy. That’s what drives my work,” says Gallatin. Her experiences mesh the worlds of fashion, dance, and art thus, creating a distinctive visual image.
Educated at the prestigious Otis Parson School of Design, Gallatin has exhibited her work throughout the United States, including in the entrance gallery of the Wilshire Federal Building in Los Angeles.
Gallatin incorporates fashion and design into her art. Since 2002, Gallatin has contributed within the pages of Armenian International Magazine and Mosaix by writing and producing features on fashion, design and art. She has also designed bedroom and living room furniture for retailer Armen Art of Los Angeles.
Gallatin’s medium includes brushes, knives and tactical methods on anything and everything she can acquire. She incorporates watercolors, pastels and acrylics on various surfaces such as wood, boards, canvases and handmade paper.
Revelations will be on display from Wednesday, May 26, 2004 through Sunday, May 30 at Harvest Gallery: 938 North Brand Blvd., Glendale, California.
