Studio's Novel Promotion Offers Free Tickets If Moviegoers Help Write And Cast New Film

March 24, 2005 -- Skuy Studios an independent film company has hired That's Hot Marketing Group to promote its future release titled "I Wish THESE Were Brains" with a plan to let the movie going public have a hand in not only the casting but the plot of the flick.

The marketing company accomplished this thru a simple survey that is blazing thru the internet like a wildfire, gathering input from tens of thousands potential ticket buyers and building pre-release buzz at the same time.

The survey can be found at
http://IwishTHESEwereBrains.com

The questions asked voters are which male star (Orlando Bloom, Usher, or Ashton Kutcher) and which female star (Jessica Simpson, Hillary Duff, or Lindsay Lohan) they'd most like to see in the film.

Moviegoers are also asked which of three subplots they like most, whether they'd take a date/friend and most importantly if they'd buy a ticket to see the movie.

Kip Laidey CEO of That's Hot Marketing Group explained, "When Skuy Studios came to us, at first glance we thought they were a little wacky wanting the moviegoer to 'participate' in the creative process. It's never been done. But after some thought we realized it made perfect sense. People would be much more likely to attend a movie they've had a hand in bringing to the screen."

"We're at the same time accumulating a voluminous email list which we'll use to notify the people who participated in the survey of the movie's opening. This is as close to a built in advance audience as a movie can have without being a sequel."

Laidey concluded, "When the major studios see what we've done I have no doubt they'll begin doing the same thing themselves but by that time we'll be onto something new for our clients."

The company plans to keep the survey online until actual shooting starts in order to mine its valuable data.
