“Cows and Horses: These Rural Mom Writers Have More than Bull(s) in Mind”

April 22, 2005 -- Christine Louise Hohlbaum, American expat writer living in a rural Bavarian cow town, announces the release of her second book, "SAHM I Am: Tales of a Stay-at-Home Mom in Europe", published by the Mom Writers Publishing Cooperative (MWPC), a subsidiary of Wyatt MacKenzie Publishing in the small town of Deadwood, OR.

“I can relate to that Dr. Seuss character in ‘Green Eggs and Ham’, SAM I Am. He is constantly trying to get his companion to eat something new. That about sums up my daily routine with my two preschoolers,” laughs Hohlbaum, age 35. She moved with her German husband and two children to a small town outside of Munich in January 2003.

MWPC author Paula Schmitt is raising five children on a rural Vermont dairy farm.

She just had to record her experiences raising four boys and a girl in such an isolated place. It made her feel more connected to the world. She also wanted other parents to realize parenting is something you do survive with or without your house in tact. Her new release, "Living in a Locker Room", was released in April.

The Mom Writers Publishing Cooperative offers new and seasoned writers an opportunity to publish their fully edited manuscripts while obtaining industry-standard royalties and a slice of the cooperative pie.

“The thing I love about MWPC is the idea of sharing. We share ideas, media leads, and even 15% of the profits!” says Hohlbaum. Recently featured in the March issue of Brain, Child magazine co-op founder Nancy Cleary, agrees. “We are a powerhouse of talent and business savvy.”
