Cowboys Auf Lederhosen, Ja

July 15, 2005 -- The official Balladeers of America's fastest growing town, Gilbert, Arizona, Pioneer Pepper And The Sunset Pioneers, will represent the “cowboy way of life” in Austria this summer on their first international tour. Pioneer Pepper, Doc Bellows, Dusty Cartwright, “Perfessor” Rolland, Cassandra, Calena, and the engineering crew will temporarily trade in their spurs for boarding passes in August to take their Wild West Singing Cowboy show to Austria, with a possible stop off in London for a recording session sponsored by the BBC on their return trip.

Hands down, The Sunset Pioneers are one of the finest, most professional and talented Singing Cowboy groups in America today. The band leader, who goes by the stage name, Marshal Pioneer Pepper, was an Illinois police officer before moving his family to Central Arizona many years ago. He won state and national honors for his guitar playing, and played in numerous bands. But his real calling was to help preserve the purity and simplicity of the "cowboy way of life" and the "code of the west" by breathing new life into the best love songs in America which were once made famous by such talents as Gene Autry, Roy Rogers And The Sons Of The Pioneers, Bob Nolan, Sam Jones, and others.

Joining Marshal Pioneer Pepper on stage are Doc Bellows on harmony and accordion, Dusty Cartwright on acoustic bass and vocals, not to mention cowboy poetry, and last, but definitely not least, "Perfessor" Rolland on vocals and cowboy fiddle. You will look long and hard to find a fiddle player who puts more energy and drive into his trade. A state and national champion himself, "Perfessor" Rolland now has a son who is winning awards.

Speaking of children, the real show stealers are Pepper's own two young daughters, Cassandra and Calena who also perform with the group. Making her own way in the world of fiddlers, Cassandra, now twelve, won her first award at the age of eleven. And at eleven, Calena sings and plays guitar - a Fender guitar at that. Peeper and the band have also been named "Fender Artists," a great honor for any musician.

Additional Information:
Pioneer Pepper and the Sunset Pioneers perform a live stage show that includes music from the era of the Singing Cowboy, side slapping humor, and cowboy poetry. Bios of the band members, show schedules, and booking information are available at the band's website,
